TestimonialsSunny Hills won the grand prize in our very first Bobsled Run, (Ari Galper took 2nd place and Jeff Hughes, who now owns Rocket Clicks, took 3rd) and he has managed my own AdWords campaigns.

Sunny has the skills and experience to diagnose Google campaigns, invent sales hooks, magnetize web pages, generate sales leads and build ongoing relationships with online customers.

Stephen N. Hills (everyone calls him “Sunny”) – the most unlikely AdWords genius – almost magically, he made water flow uphill.

Twice a year (fall and spring “semester”) we do the Bobsled Run, which is a first-click to final-sale intensive coaching program.

In that program we hold a contest with prizes and today I want to tell you about the most unlikely of winners, Stephen N. “Sunny” Hills, who lives in Maui Hawaii.

His story is entertaining.

When it was all said and done, Sunny won the grand prize. He even beat out Ari Galper who won 2nd place – and Ari grew his business from $5K a month to $25K a month in four months.

Then Sunny took the Bobsled run again, as an Alumni Club member. And he would always be on EVERY Mastermind call, even if it started at 3am Hawaii time.

Then he took it AGAIN.

The following year I did a seminar – and I had Sunny teach Sunny AdWords Arbitrage. Like I said, making water flow uphill.

He’s the only person I’ve ever allowed to manage my own Google campaigns. We also refer consulting clients to him.

In 2008, I brought him on board to help coach Bobsled Run students and they love him.

Sunny is the coach for AdWords Boot Camp. He’s the guy who logs onto GoToMeeting with you and peeks at your AdWords campaigns and helps you fine-tune them. He’s as devout as any student I can name and he knows this stuff inside and out. A Certified Marketing Maniac. Takes one to know one.

“Sunny is the true ‘Robin Hood of AdWords‘. I worked with him as his Google Consultant for a solar client, and was extremely impressed by his deep product knowledge. He worked tirelessly to achieve the client’s goals, and, through his hard work, great product knowledge and innovative mindset, achieved fantastic results for the client.

If you are a small company, and want to compete effectively with the big dogs, there is no better person to manage your Adwords account than Sunny. And this comes from a Google guy 🙂

Beyond all this, what really matters is that Sunny is a great human being. Enthusiastic, always eager to learn, and always eager to share.

Thanks Sunny! You are an inspiration!

You are a great teacher and have a natural talent for it.  You are clear,
organized, step by step, recapping, not condescending, encouraging, optimistic,
future focused, forthcoming and an absolute pleasure to know and work with.
Thank you for choosing to share all those with me.  There are very few
individuals of your caliber.  I feel particularly fortunate to have had my path
cross with yours.

Sunny,

This is incredible!

You only worked on my Adwords account 1.5 hours…

Here are the results after 15 days:

Conversion Rate is up 62% (from 1.33% Jan, up to 2.16% Feb)

Conversion Cost is down 46% (from $34.17 Jan, down to $18.68 Feb)

And…

Number of Conversions is up 44% (from 32, up to 46 Feb)

Wow… I would not believe it if I hadn’t seen it!

I am very pleased with the decision to hire you… and looking forward to you working more of your miracles on this account in the future.

Thank you also for your great follow up (giving me exceptional reports) and genuine care & concern.

It’s a pleasure working with you.

You Rock Sunny!

“I was skeptical about what to expect … but I was amazed that
with only 1 hour of work on my account, Sunny created 154 new ad groups
and 574 new ads.

Within the first 6 hours, I got a 24% higher ad position,
even though he brought my CPC down by 14%.

Even better … I nearly doubled my conversion rate from
6.67% to 12.00% … AND cut my conversion cost by 53%,
from $7.43 to $3.54!

My goal was to increase my impressions. He nearly doubled those,
within the first 6 hours that his new campaign began running.

I’m really excited about seeing the results over the next few weeks!”

HI Sunny,

After our meeting earlier this week I took a good look sifting through all our keywords and sometimes things really start to click.

Our cost per conversion was high on our gift boxes campaign.  A bit over twenty bucks each. I paused nine of the 227 keywords.  They account for one third of the entire budget over the last month and only four sales.  They had great click through rates … Over five percent average but too expensive to advertise when looking at our bottom line.  If I pull the numbers out for those keywords our cost per conversion goes down to six bucks.  Gotta like that.

I did the same thing with bowties where I have Google conversion optimizer running and that one would increase CTR and conversion rate and knock about twenty percent off the conversion cost.

Just across those two ad groups that is $350 per month of bad performing keywords.

I looked at the entire AdWords account and paused the 11 worst performing keywords that accounted for only 53 sales out of about 6000 and cost $1806.01 over the last 3 months. They were a bit over ten percent of what we spent with Google.

I am pretty certain that I was able to save us at least $5000 a year in an hour of work when factoring product costs, shipping costs, and sales into the equation.  There’s some good thousands per hour work!

So, thank you again for the call discussion this week. It activated a part of my brain I wasn’t using.
